About updates sent to customers via SMS, Email, or Facebook Chat
There are three ways notifications are sent to customers:
- SMS
- Facebook Chat
📅 When Are Notifications Sent?
Customers are automatically notified when:
- ✅ An order has been placed and checked out on your Shopify store.
- 📦 An order has been marked as fulfilled:
- For delivery orders: This happens when staff taps Picked Up by Rider in the In-Store Merchant App.
- For pickup orders: This happens when staff taps Ready for Pick Up in the In-Store Merchant App.
- ❌ An order has been cancelled.
🔔 Notification Channels
- Via SMS – Sent to the customer’s mobile number provided at checkout.

- Via Email – Sent to the customer’s email address from the order.

- Via Facebook Chat – Allows the customer to track their order
