What does the order process look like with the In-Store Merchant App?
The In-Store Merchant App is perfect for food business with multiple locations that want to make sure each branch only gets orders meant for them. Here’s how each branch handles orders:
Step 1: Get an Instant Alert
- When a customer orders from your Shopify store, the branch that will prepare the order gets an Instant Alert.
- Tap to dismiss the alert.
Step 2: Open the Order Notification
- After dismissing, tap the Order Notification to see the details.
Step 3: Check and Accept the Order
- You’ll see all the order details. Review them, then tap Accept Order.

- Now start preparing the order.

Step 4 (Optional): Book a Courier
⚠️ To book a courier, you must set up Delivery Integration in the Restaurant Alert + Deliver Shopify App.
When the order is ready, tap Book a Rider to get a courier to pick up and deliver the order.
💡 Tip: Book riders 15–20 minutes before the order is ready so they arrive on time.
Step 5: Confirm Order Status
- For delivery orders
- Tap Picked Up by Rider once the courier picks up the order.
- Tap Confirm to proceed.
- For pickup orders
- Tap Ready for Pick Up to notify the customer.
- Tap Confirm to proceed.

Step 6 (Optional): Complete Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders
⚠️ Only for COD orders.
Tap Cash Received to mark the order as paid in Shopify.
