Booking a rider from GrabExpress or Lalamove with the In-Store Merchant App
⚠️ Before you can book riders, make sure Delivery Integration with your chosen on-demand courier is already set up in the Restaurant Alert + Deliver Shopify App.
🚨 What Happens When an Order is Placed?
When a customer places an order via your Shopify Store, an Instant Alert is sent to your branch’s In-Store Merchant App.
Once your staff taps the notification, they’ll see the full Order Details and can tap Accept Order.
📦 How to Book a Rider
Step 1 – Tap “Book a Rider”
Once the order is accepted, a Book a Rider button will appear.
Tap it to start booking a rider from your linked courier service.
💡 Pro Tip: Book riders 15–20 minutes before dispatch to allow buffer time for arrival.
Step 2 – Check Booking Progress
After booking, the option to View Rider Booking Details will appear.
- If a rider hasn’t been assigned yet, you’ll see a Pending screen and the option to Cancel Search.
Step 3 – View Booked Rider Details
Once a rider is assigned, tapping View Rider Booking Details will show:
- Rider Name
- Delivery Cost
- Time of Booking
- Vehicle Type and License Number
- Mobile Number
- Additional Services
- Cancel Rider option

❓ FAQ: What if the Rider Cancels?
If the rider cancels, the app will automatically try to rebook a new rider:
- Up to 3 times
- Or for up to 10 minutes
✅ We recommend checking the status every 5–10 minutes or rebooking manually if needed.
