How do I download and link the In-Store Merchant App to my locations within the Restaurant Alert + Deliver system?
Before you can go live with Restaurant Alert+Deliver and start accepting orders, there are a few steps to complete. Use the checklist below to ensure your setup is complete.

- Choose a Pricing Plan
- Add Your Location/s
- Set Up the In-Store Merchant App
- (Optional) Integrate Your Chosen On-Demand Courier
⚠️ Make sure you have a dedicated Android tablet per branch location.
The app supports touchscreen Android devices running OS Version 5.0 and above.
Step 1: Download the App
On the Android device for your branch, open the Google Play Store and download the In-Store Merchant App.

Step 2: Go to Your Shopify Settings
Log in to your Shopify Store and navigate to:
Apps > Restaurant Alert + Deliver > Locations
Step 3: Select a Location
Click on the location you want to link a device to.
Step 4: Generate Device Link
On the location details page, you’ll see the Merchant App section on the right side.
If no URL is available yet, click Generate new URL to create one.
⚠️ Ensure this location is already added to the Restaurant Alert + Deliver app. If not, set up your location first.
Step 5: Copy or Scan to Link Device
Once the Install URL is generated:
Click Show to reveal the link or use the clipboard icon to copy it.
Send the URL to the Android device via email or chat.
ℹ️ The link must be opened on the Android device to complete the pairing.
💡 Alternatively, click Show QR to generate a QR code that can be scanned directly from the In-Store Merchant App.
Step 6: Link the Device
If using the URL:
Open the link on the Android device.
Tap Link Device when prompted.
If using the QR code:
Open the In-Store Merchant App.
Tap Scan QR, scan the code, and confirm with Link Device.
✅ You’re All Set!
To confirm the device is successfully linked:
Log in to your Shopify Store.
Go to Apps > Restaurant Alert + Deliver > Locations.
Select the location you linked the device to.
The Merchant App settings will now be displayed in place of the Install URL.
