It says I can’t Login on my In-Store Merchant App and I need a new Install URL. Why does this happen?
🧾 What This Error Means
This error usually appears when there's a problem linking your Android device to a specific location using the Install URL (or QR code). The Install URL connects your device to a location in your Shopify store via the Restaurant Alert + Deliver app.
The device you're using must already have the In-Store Merchant App installed before opening the link.
⚠️ Possible Reasons and How to Resolve
1. The Install URL has already been used
- Each location allows only one linked device.
- If the Install URL was already used on another device, or another device is already linked to the same location, it won’t work again.
✅ Solution: Generate a new Install URL or unlink the previously linked device.
2. The Install URL has expired
- Install URLs expire after one month if unused.
✅ Solution: Go to your Shopify Admin > Restaurant Alert + Deliver > Locations, and generate a new Install URL.
3. The device is already linked to another location
- A device can only be linked to one location at a time.
✅ Solution: Unlink the current location from the device first before using a new Install URL.
