Booking a rider may take a few minutes depending on several factors. Below are common causes and what you can do to improve the experience.
⚠️ Why Booking Might Take Time
1. Peak Hours
During lunch and dinner rush hours, demand for riders is high. Many nearby merchants are also booking, so rider availability can be limited.
✅ Tip: Book a rider earlier than usual during these times.
2. Fewer Riders Available
Low rider availability can happen due to:
- Bad weather conditions
- Very early or late hours
- Holidays
3. No Riders Nearby
Sometimes there just aren’t riders in your immediate area.
✅ Tip: Wait a few minutes, then try rebooking.
✅ What You Can Do
⏰ Book Riders Early
We recommend booking riders 15–20 minutes before the food is ready.
This gives riders enough time to arrive before your target dispatch time.
🔁 Try Rebooking
Rebooking can refresh the search and help find a nearby rider. Here’s how:
- Tap View Rider Booking Details
- Tap Cancel Search
- Go back to the Order Details screen and tap Book a Rider again
Most of the time, a rider can be booked within a few minutes after retrying.
